SIENNA ANNOUNCES WORLD’S FIRST HIGH THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY NON-TOXIC CERAMIC MICROWAVE ABSORBER

Sienna Technologies, Inc., a leading developer and vertically integrated manufacturer of high technology ceramic components, announces the development of the World’s first High Thermal Conductivity AlN-SiC composite vacuum compatible microwave absorbers for high power vacuum electronics and microwave tubes. Sienna engineers and scientists have devised a novel processing technique to overcome the low thermal conductivity (55-60 W/m•K) that has long plagued AlN-SiC composite microwave absorbers. Sienna’s STL-100HTC AlN-SiC composite has a thermal conductivity greater than 120 W/m•K making it a perfect replacement for toxic BeO-SiC composites in high power microwave applications.
